Entry requirements for a tourist visa to Jordan depend on your nationality, but citizens of over 130 countries (including the US, Canada, EU nations, the UK, and Australia) can obtain a visa upon arrival or online.

Entry Options

  • Visa on Arrival (VoA): Available at international airports (e.g., Queen Alia International Airport in Amman) and most land border crossings.

    • Cost: 40 JOD (~$56 USD) for a single-entry visa valid for up to 30 days.

    • Note: Not available at the King Hussein / Allenby Bridge crossing (requires advance visa).

  • Jordan Pass (Best Value for Tourists): A package provided by the Ministry of Tourism that waives the 40 JOD visa fee if purchased prior to arrival and staying at least 3 consecutive nights (4 days).

    • Cost: Starts at 70 JOD (~$99 USD).

    • Includes: Entry to over 40 tourist sites, including a 1-day pass to Petra (which alone costs 50 JOD).

  • eVisa / Advance Visa: Available through the official Ministry of Interior portal or Jordanian embassy/consulate if your passport requires pre-approval prior to travel.

General Requirements

  • Passport: Valid for at least 6 months past your entry date, with at least 1 blank visa page.

  • Travel Details: Onward/return ticket and address of your stay or hotel reservation.
