Kuwait tourist visa eligibility, application methods, and key entry requirements depend on your nationality and residence status.

Visa Types & Eligibility

• GCC Citizens: Freedom of movement; no visa required (national ID card or passport suffices).

• eVisa / Visa on Arrival (50+ Eligible Countries): Citizens of over 50 countries—including the US, Canada, UK, EU/Schengen countries, Australia, Japan, and South Korea—can apply for an online eVisa before departure or obtain a Visa on Arrival at Kuwait International Airport.

• GCC Residents: Foreign residents living in GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman) with valid residency (minimum 6 months validity) are eligible for a simplified eVisa or Visa on Arrival.

• Schengen/US/UK Visa Holders: Passport holders of other nationalities who possess a valid tourist visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen Area, or GCC with at least 6 months validity can apply for a simplified Kuwait e-Visa.

• All Other Nationalities: Must apply for a traditional tourist visa in advance through a Kuwait Embassy or Consulate.

How to Apply for an eVisa

1. Visit the official Kuwait Ministry of Interior (MOI) e-Visa Portal (kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw).

2. Submit your personal and passport details, and upload copy of passport bio page.

3. Pay the processing fee online.

4. Receive approval via email (usually processed within 1–3 business days). Print a copy to present at passport control upon arrival.
